VOTE GREEN - ENJOY TROPICAL NORTH QLD IN THE WET SEASON

The Christmas celebrations and fireworks of New Year's Eve in Port Douglas are passed for another year, but don't be deterred by forecasts of rain.  Far North Queensland presents its green face at this time of year.  Warm and humid conditions mean that all that wonderful tropical vegetation and rainforest are lush and growing.  Gardens are gorgeous, streams are flowing, and waterfalls are gushing.  No water worries here!

Heavy showers are usually overnight, and days have been sunny and calm, great for a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef - HABA is one of our favourites.

Or merely relax.  There are some new dining possibilities in town, including the French tastes of "Le Sixieme Sense" (the sixth sense!) upstairs in the Club Tropical building in Wharf Street, and the deli upstairs in the Saltwater building in Macrossan Street has excellent cold cuts and cheeses, and much else besides.  For those who want to extend their knowledge of India beyond the cricket, the "Port of India" in Grant Street, fast becoming Port Douglas's "eat street", has authentic Indian cuisine, including tandoori dishes.  Or if you are lucky, one of the fishing trawlers will be selling its catch direct from the wharf.  Prawns, of course, bugs and scallops are some of the great buys.

If you are an investor looking for guaranteed returns and a true resort, then have a look at the Sabaya Port Douglas Resort's spa suite which Cote Nord Property Port Douglas has for sale at $410,000, at  http://www.cotenordproperty.com.au/properties.php?id=291889

This is the only remaining "honeymoon" apartment in the complex for sale.  With extensive decking, Jacuzzi in private surrounds, fully-furnished, and lots of options for investors, this is an attractive choice.  Make use of the resort's swimming pools and excellent restaurant which makes use of fresh local and Tablelands produce.

A bargain buy at $225,000 is the two-bedroom fully furnished and airconditioned townhouse, fresh and well-maintained, which overlooks the resort swimming pool in a Barrier Street complex.  See http://www.cotenordproperty.com.au/properties.php?id=206005

With Four Mile Beach just straight down the street, and proximity to shops and transport, this property is currently holiday-let, but its size and facilities make it very suitable for owner-occupancy.  A great entry to the Port Douglas property market.

If its purchasing a prestige residence you're considering, Cote Nord Property Port douglas has a superbly stylish 5-bedroom home for sale, situated in an exclusive residential enclave, overlooking Reef Park lake.  See it at http://www.cotenordproperty.com.au/properties.php?id=380331

Views from almost every room, stunning staircase feature and cool marble floors.  There is a huge undercover outdoor entertaining and living area, by the swimmiing pool, and subtle Asian influences are evident in this pavilion style home. Price on Application.

With Easter not far away, and the increase of visitors to the tropical north, we suggest you book accommodation now in order to have the best choice of possibilities to suit you.  If you are considering a Port Douglas investment property, prestige residence or even a lifestyle business for those wanting to make that sought after "sea change", contact Cote Nord Property Port Douglas now.
